Luther Puglas is a Kwakwaka’wakw artist, singer, and storyteller from the Musgamagw Dzawadenuxw people from Kingcome Inlet B.C. and the Mamalilikulla Mimkwimlis from Compton Island and (Kwikiwasutenuxw) Gilford Island B.C.

He began his training as an artist at around five years old under the tutelage of his uncle Herbert Mountain, who was a master carver from Kingcome Inlet.

Luther’s focus on art, songs, and traditions as a means of transmuting the heart and soul of the rich and ancient cultural heritage of these lands has been central to his life’s work.
